HPI will send you a FTA Sample Card after receiving from you a signed and dated copy of the consent and release form. Please also include a paragraph providing a brief description of the story of the relative you believe may be related, including their full name and date of birth. Include place of birth, background information (family, ethnic, criminal or military history) as well as why he may have ventured into the Arctic. Any photos you may have of this person would also be greatly appreciated.
Hunted Productions Inc. is producing a documentary program about the notorious Albert Johnson, otherwise known as “The Mad Trapper”, and will be using DNA testing to try to determine Albert Johnson’s true identity. Many claim to be related to Albert Johnson: if you are among those claiming to be his relative, Hunted Productions Inc. has arranged for DNA testing and now, once and for all, it can be determined if you really are a relative of “The Mad Trapper”.
How Do I Get Tested?
If you want to be tested to determine if you are related to The Mad Trapper, you must follow these steps:
- You need to provide a sample of your blood to Hunted Productions Inc. (“HPI”) on a special “FTA Sample Card” provided by HPI. HPI will send you a FTA Sample Card after receiving from you a signed and dated copy of the Consent And Release Form, which is attached.
- When you receive the FTA Sample Card, follow the included directions carefully.
- Return your blood sample/FTA Sample Card to HPI, together with a cheque for $100 made payable to Hunted Productions Inc. to cover the lab processing fees of all DNA cross-matching with that of “Albert Johnson.” If testing proves you are a relative of Albert Johnson, the lab processing fee will be refunded to you.
- Your blood sample will not be used for any purpose other than DNA cross-matching with Albert Johnson. Your FTA Sample Card will be destroyed by the lab immediately after testing.
